They are numerous, the cities near Costa Ballena and Rota which you can visit during your holidays in Costa Ballena. From cities only 15-20 minutes away to cities 2-3 hours away, each one enchanting, and must be visited. Any doubts? We´ll explain what you´ll find in each one of them.

From closer to further we´ll begin with Puerto de Santa Maria, a city that is a work of art in itself, the city of bulls, of the Vaporcito (ferryboat), of Sherry and above all of Osborne. No other city gives the possibilites that Puerto de Santa Maria, like enjoying a nice cool beer and eating some shrimp out in the sun. From Puerto we can travel to Chipiona, the city that holds the tallest lighthouse in Spain, and one of the most important ones of Europe. It will be the first thing any mariner who comes from other continents will see. San Lucar de Barrameda is another beautiful town that is worth visiting. You can taste king prawns out in the sun in the Ribera del Guadalquivir. Directly in front starts the Doñana Natural Park. Without a doubt a very enchanting and itneresting place.
We´ll finish our tour in the closest area, Cádiz. The tacita de plata (silver teacup) is an enchanting city in which you can enjoy it´s cathedral, it´s beaches and it´s beach promenade...don´t forget it´s Carnival!

If we exit the Cadiz bay we´ll find Jerez de la Frontera, cadiz locality in which we must not fail to mention the Feria del Caballo (famous horse fair). From Jerez to Sevilla, where we´ll be able to contemplate monuments such as La Giralda, La Torre del Oro, the Puente Del Quinto Centenario, or the Isla de la Cartuja...

If we go in the other direction, the coast moving down south, we´ll run into localities on the way such as Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz, San Fernando, and Chiclana. After Chiclana comes Conil de la Frontera, with it´s delicious fresh fish and excellent gastronomy...Barbate, Caños de Meca and it´s tourism and fishing, Zahara de los Atunes...and we continue our travels towards Tarifa, the city of the wind.

In Tarifa (about one hour and a half from Costa Ballena) you´ll find many shops, incredible beaches, wind and many windsurf and kitesurf lovers. Tarifa is the world capital of these sports, to prove this all you have to do is see the large amounts of visitors every year that come to practice.

We´ll continue towards Sotogrande, with it´s luxury and glamour, and of course Costa del Sol about 2 hours from Rota. In the Costa del Sol, it starts in Manilva, and directs itself towards Malaga, passing through Sabanillas, Estepona, San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella, Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmadena, Torremolinos, and last but not least we must mention Malaga...the capital of Costa del Sol.

In the interior of the province of Malaga don´t forget you can visit places such as breathtaking Ronda, with it´s Tajo and the oldest bullring in Spain.
