The climate in Rota is the climate of southern Spain, SUN and great weather throught most of the year. No extreme temperatures , and without many weeks of continuous rain.

Generally, the climate here is mild all year round. In summer the temperature is perfect: permanent shining sun and refreshing offshore breezes. It's not as hot as inland Andalucía, and it's slightly cooler than the Costa de Sol.

The winters are short and mild. Even during the winter, we get a lot of sunshine. It can get pretty breezy though.

Spring and Autumn are great times to go. It becomes magical as brilliant new colors appear at the changing of the seasons. It's still warm enough to go swimming, and a great time to go surfing.

Water temperatures range from 16ºC in January to 23º C in August and September. People go surfing and diving all year round with wet suits. It's hot enough to go swimming without one from around the end of May until the end of October.

The average amount of rainfall is approximately 450 mm. This is mainly during autumn, winter and spring.
